JaNell leads our fun-loving, grounded, and always seasonally decorated Harrodsburg. Kids team Lead. She and her family have been a part of Harrodsburg Baptist for the past 13 years. 

JaNell’s favorite thing about serving our kids and families is when kids’ faith “clicks” for themselves. Those moments when it’s more than just knowing a Bible story, but that they begin to realize God is real and present in their own lives. JaNell is passionate about kids developing a real, personal faith of their own. This desire is influenced by her own experience growing up with parents who modeled a real, steady faith for her.  

When JaNell isn’t wrangling a room full of kiddos, she can be found working out at her CrossFit Gym, reading, rewatching Friends (again) or taking a nap. She and her husband James, of 20 years, have 4 children: Olive, June, Ruby, and Oscar, and you might have seen them at one of many Mercer County sporting events cheering on their kids.
